Things to Know Before Placing an Order
Share
This specification document aims to provide a standard for capturing customer finger and palm photos to ensure image quality and data consistency for better texture production of fingers/palms.
1.Photo collection environment
1.1 Lighting requirements:
- The lighting should be uniform and without obvious shadows.
- The lighting conditions of each photo should be as consistent as possible
1.2 Background requirements:
- The background should be white (white paper, white background board).
- The background of each finger should be consistent, and the background should cover the entire frame except the finger as much as possible.
2. Shooting equipment and parameters
2.1 Shooting requirements:
- Use a camera or smartphone with a high-resolution camera.
- Keep the shooting device stable and ensure accurate shooting angles.
2.2 Shooting parameters:
- Resolution: Between 4K and 8K (frame length: minimum 4096 pixels, maximum 8192 pixels). There is no requirement for aspect ratio, as long as the entire finger fits within the frame.
- Photo format: JPEG or PNG only.
- Exposure: Maintain consistent exposure for every shot. Lock the exposure function to prevent the phone from automatically adjusting exposure values. Restoring the finger’s true color is not necessary, but exposure must be consistent across all photos of the same finger.
3. Subject requirements
3.1 Finger photography (the sample images are all based on the index finger):
- The outside of the finger.
When shooting the outer side of the finger, align the camera to be as perpendicular to the finger as possible. Focus on the texture details of the finger’s front surface to ensure clear visibility of details. (For specific details, contact customer service.)
