Can prosthetic fingers be custom-made?
Over the past three years, we have served more than 4,000 + clients, and our experience with silicone restoration and documented successful has made us second to none in the country. We invite you to learn more about artistic prosthetics today, discuss the possibility of custom-made prosthetics and how to care for them.
We work hand in hand with our clients, from assessment to meticulous capture of every possible detail, and finally to the evaluation of the fit of the prosthesis and the final outcome. This process typically involves directly taking impressions to record the involved areas, assembling test sockets to ensure a perfect fit, preparing detailed models, determining colors, and finally delivering the prosthesis under training and guidance. Our mold manufacturing and silicone processing steps take place between your visits. Let's take a look at how we take fingerprints.
First, we record the causes of amputation and then discuss daily life goals and activities. We need to ensure that the affected finger or toe has completely healed and is suitable for wearing a prosthetic limb.
We can make a simple silicone impression for both the amputated and unaffected fingers. From the silicone impressions, we can make an accurate residual finger model.
In the next section, we will discuss the skin texture details and the suitability of the finger wax prototype. We confirm that you are satisfied with the length, shape and texture of the prototype.
The fitting session also includes our skin color matching program with our custom color blocks, accurately capturing the pigmentation array in the photo. Our molds are made very durable with brass flasking so that duplicate prostheses will be available at a fraction of the cost for years to come.
The high-resolution silicone prosthetic finger or toe has been made and is ready for final delivery. Any required color details are carefully added by the anaplastologist.
We check whether each final prosthesis is suitable and make the final adjustments. We hope every customer is happy, so we will make corrections or adjustments after discussed with our customers if necessary. We offer complete follow-up care instructions. Each prosthesis should last for several years, and the main mold is safely archived for replacement when needed.

How soon can I get a prosthetic fingers? Or what if I need a few fingers or part of a prosthetic limb?
Most prosthetic fingers can be completed within 30 days, while multiple fingers or partial prosthetic limbs may take a little longer. We are very flexible and have other manufacturing options that can reduce your appointments and costs.
Will my prosthetic fingers or toes be attached permanently?
No. A realistic silicone prosthesis will not be implanted under your skin or adhere permanently - it must be removed regularly for cleaning to keep your skin clean and healthy.
How is the prosthesis fixed? How will my prosthetic fingers attach?
Most fingertip or partial finger prostheses are safely retained when pushed onto the residual finger through "suction coordination". For complete finger or partial hand amputation, silicone bands or straps are used to fix the prosthesis.
Do I need to take off my prosthetic fingers tonight?
Generally speaking, we recommend that you remove the prosthetic limb at night for cleaning and allow your skin to breathe. Some patients have learned from experience that they can adjust their wearing schedules. We provide each customer with personalized dressing and care guidance.
How do I take care of my prosthetic fingers?
Almost all silicone prostheses are washed daily with isopropyl alcohol and detergent (such as Dawn or Dove), then rinsed and kept dry when not in use. However, each prosthesis is unique and may require special precautions. Ultimately, we will guide you through your daily care plan and provide specific guidance based on your unique prosthetic limb.
How much does a prosthetic finger or toe cost?
The cost of realistic finger or thumb prostheses depends on many factors, including the number of fingers involved, the degree of amputation, and the way the finger or thumb prosthesis is suspended or connected. If you want to add features such as hobbies, sports or playing Musical Instruments, we will also consider other situations.
What if I can't afford a prosthetic finger?
Please don't think you can't afford a prosthetic limb. We will assist you in determining whether there are any insurance or 3d payment sources available for your use. In some cases, there are also credit options, such as nursing credit. This is our expertise. If possible, we will do our best to work out a plan for you.
How long can a prosthesis finger be used?

Sometimes they need to redesign the prosthesis because significant tissue changes occur during growth or surgery.
